Nuno Martins

Executive Director, APIGCEE

Nuno Martins has been Executive Director of APIGCEE since January 2026. He has extensive international experience in the energy sector, with a focus on generation assets, wholesale markets, regulatory frameworks and risk management. Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles in project development, market analysis and regulatory assessment, supporting investment decisions across multiple geographies and different market models.

Before joining APIGCEE, he held senior positions within the EDP Group, where he coordinated global strategic initiatives, including the origination and development of renewable generation projects and the analysis of markets and regulatory risk, which were key to investment decisions and strategic positioning.

He holds a degree in Economics from Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE) and an MBA from INSEAD, having started his professional career as a business analyst at McKinsey & Company.
